Who is responsible for the California Fires?

Are the fires in Southern California a result of terrorism as some on Fox News have suggested? Fox News quoted a 2003 FBI memo that alerted law enforcement agencies that an al-Qaeda terrorist being held in detention had talked of masterminding a plot to set a series of devastating forest fires around the western United States. Of course, "al Qaeda" is always the operative word when Fox refers to terrorism, but what if there is someone else behind these fires, someone who could clearly benefit from getting rid of problematic neighbors and getting big government contracts from disaster relief operations?

I recently got two emails that are pretty disturbing. The first one links to the National Terror Alert Response Center and is sourced from ChicoER (although ChicoER's link is now down). It describes suspicious activity by men with cameras visiting various Northern California Fire Stations and running off when detected. see www.nationalterroralert.com/updates/2007/09/20/suspicious-activity-at-california-fire-stations-terrorism-center-issues-watch-request

The second one is about the town of Potrero where the citizens were planning a major fight against Blackwater, the mercenary company that is planning to build a 824-acre facility in in their community. This article describes how the citizens of Potrero saw no firetrucks until long after their houses burned down, found all roads blocked, and heard no reverse 911 calls warning them to evacuate.

Obviously, we don't have enough information to come to any conclusions as to what this might mean, maybe we never will, but these are very suspicious stories that need some examination.

Here's the first story:
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY AT CALIFORNIA FIRE STATIONS

Posted on September 20th, 2007

During the last week of July, fire officials in the Bay Area city of Campbell reported that two men had been seen videotaping routine activities at a fire station.

The men were reportedly in their 20s or early 30s, and one was using a sophisticated news media-style camera.

When firefighters attempted to talk with the men, they reportedly jumped into a waiting car and sped off.

The incident prompted the Sacramento Regional Terrorism Threat Assessment Center to send out a request for Northern California fire stations to watch for similar incidents, and report them immediately.

The day the request went out, Sept. 6, a second, similar incident was reported at a fire station in Yuba City.

According to officials, a fire captain encountered two men parked outside the city’s main fire station. One of the men got out and allegedly began taking pictures of the fire station’s administration building. When the captain approached the men, to tell them they were in a no-parking zone, the photographer jumped in the vehicle and the men left.

The man who took the photos was described as being between 30 and 40 years of age.

On Sept. 12, Fresno Fire Department officials spotted two men in a vehicle allegedly observing activities at a fire training center. When questioned, the driver reportedly said they were just checking things out, then left immediately.

Two days later, on Sept. 14, personnel from the Sacramento Metro Fire Department noticed two men taking photos of a fire station. A third man sat in the back of a car, and appeared to be drawing or taking notes. When fire officials walked toward them, the two taking pictures jumped in the vehicle and sped away.

The men allegedly took pictures in front of the station, and in the rear. They ranged in age from late teens to about 60, officials recalled.

Tim Johnstone, a commander with the threat assessment center in Sacramento, said all of the incidents are being investigated, but there is no indication they might be related.

“We aren’t considering this a specific threat at this time; we’re just asking our public safety partners to be on the watch for suspicious activity,” he said.

He said the threat assessment center was formed to act as a collection point for homeland security intelligence, and disseminate it appropriately.

Jay Alan, deputy director of communication for the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security, said Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is concerned about security agencies sharing information, and has made it a top priority.

Local officials said no suspicious incidents involving videotaping or photos have been reported at fire stations.

Fire department personnel are being asked to take note of vehicle descriptions, descriptions of suspicious subjects, and complete license plate numbers. Citizens who witness suspicious activity, near fire stations or elsewhere, should do the same, and report it to their local law enforcement agency.

Citizens should not attempt to contact suspicious individuals."

www.nationalterroralert.com/updates/2007/09/20/suspicious-activity-at-california-fire-stations-terrorism-center-issues-watch-request

The second story is from award-winning journalist Miriam Raftery:
Potrero, California, the town that has gained national attention for standing up against Blackwater Worldwide's plan to build a private military-style training camp in their pristine backcountry community east of San Diego, now faces an even more formidable force. The Harris wildfire which began outside Potrero early Sunday morning has ravaged the small rural community, where many residents remain trapped without supplies four days after the fire began.

"It's like the Kalahari Desert as you drive down Potrero Valley Road. There are sand dunes everywhere-dirt and ash," Jan Hedlun reported via cell phone on Tuesday. "We can't get in or out, and we are running out of supplies." This morning, however, Hedlun said food will be provided to beleaguered residents at the old Volunteer Fire Department Building. The County recently began initiating its fire consolidation plan, closing some rural volunteer firefighting departments. But here in Potrero, some residents complained that they never saw a single fire engine until long after their homes burned down.

Stretches where homes once stood along Highway 94 have been reduced to wasteland. Many homes have burned, although the town's store, library, and Post Office are still standing. "There is looting going on up here," said Hedlun. Another source described Potrero as a "moonscape with houses here and there."

Many Potrero residents never received reverse 911 calls warning them to evacuate. Some rely on cell phones, which were not included in the evacuation system.

"It's like Armageddon," said Jill Michaels, who had just four minutes to pack belongings before fleeing flames that singed her husband. She and her family tried to evacuate but found all roads blocked. She returned to witness her Potrero home burn to the ground.

Here you can read the rest of the story:

www.calitics.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=4175

So, as the people of Potrero were preparing for an intense recall election on December 11 to kick out the planning group who approved Blackwater's base this fire breaks loose and devastates their community. And, then we have an alert regarding the men filming fire stations in Northern California?

Do these two events connect in anyway?

Time and investigation may tell.

(And this just in: FEMA says sorry for faked briefing:
Three days after staging a televised news briefing defending its response to the California wildfires, FEMA apologized and said it wouldn't happen again.

Zio-Fascism Awareness Week

From October 22 to 28th, David Horowitz and his right-wing fascist cohorts -- misogynist Ann Coulter, Neocon Godfather Michael Ledeen, Fetalphobe ex-Senator Rick Santorum, and an assortment of other ghouls and goblins, will be coming to a university near you. They bring visions of evil-doers with bombs strapped around their waist, ready to blow up you and your loved ones in an attempt to scare you into giving up your treats (freedoms) for tricks (boggiemen) during Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week.

Examine your candy closely...who knows what you'll find...Osama bin Laden...It is just a matter of time.

According to Horowitz's Terrorism Awareness Project website, which is promoting the Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week:
"The purpose of this protest is as simple as it is crucial: to confront the two Big Lies of the political left: that George Bush created the war on terror and that Global Warming is a greater danger to Americans than the terrorist threat. Nothing could be more politically incorrect than to point this out. But nothing could be more important for American students to hear. In the face of the greatest danger Americans have ever confronted, the academic left has mobilized to create sympathy for the enemy and to fight anyone who rallies Americans to defend themselves. According to the academic left, anyone who links Islamic radicalism to the war on terror is an "Islamophobe." According to the academic left, the Islamo-fascists hate us not because we are tolerant and free, but because we are "oppressors."

Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is a national effort to oppose these lies and to rally American students to defend their country."

www.terrorismawareness.org/islamo-fascism-awareness-week
Oh, my, they hate us because we are "tolerant and free," not because we are blowing up their children and contaminating their land with radioactive depleted uranium. How silly of us.

But of course what is really going on is the attempt to mould our minds to support a rabid right-wing agenda through the process of mythmaking.

Horowitz and the Power of Myths

So, who is David Horowitz and what is his gig? This “ex-Marxist” is now a right-wing ideologue/deceiver who is a key promoter of grand myths in support of the Neocon agenda. As most of you know, the Neocons hold key positions in the Bush Administration and are the crafters of today’s boogieman -- the “Islamofascist” as well as the phony “War on Terror” -- two phantoms to be used as tools for furtherance of their goals of dividing and dismantling the Middle East by war and deception.

One of Horowitz's fellow mythmakers is Neocon Philip Zelikow, the ex-executive director of the 9/11 Commission who helped create one of the grandest public myths of all -- that 19 hijackers fooled the entire military and intelligence community and carried out the crimes of 9/11. Zelikow was a student of mythmaking and while at Harvard Zelikow worked with Ernest May and Richard Neustadt on the use, and misuse, of history in policymaking. They observed, as Zelikow noted in his own words, that "contemporary" history is "defined functionally by those critical people and events that go into forming the public's presumptions about its immediate past."

Presciently, Zelikow speculated in an 1998 article he co-authored entitled "Catastrophic Terrorism" that if the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Towers had succeeded,
"such an act of catastrophic terrorism would be a watershed event in American history. It could involve loss of life and property unprecedented in peacetime and undermine America’s fundamental sense of security, as did the Soviet atomic bomb test in 1949. Like Pearl Harbor, the event would divide our past and future into a before and after. The United States might respond with draconian measures scaling back civil liberties, allowing wider surveillance of citizens, detention of suspects and use of deadly force. More violence could follow, either future terrorist attacks or U.S. counterattacks. Belatedly, Americans would judge their leaders negligent for not addressing terrorism more urgently."

Do these people hold magic powers to foretell the future? Yes, and no. They can tell the future because they know the game plan ahead of time, but they have no magical powers except for the power they hold over American minds through deceit, deception and evil.

Are we being NeoConned?

You Bet. The Neocons have written in their policy papers called “Rebuilding America’s Defenses; Strategy, Forces and Resources for a New Century” www.informationclearinghouse.info/article3249.htm and “A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm” www.antiwar.com/orig/kwiatkowski.php?articleid=9306 of the need for a wider war in the Middle East to create a beneficial geopolitical landscape for Israel. Both papers are widely criticised for advocating for an aggressive foreign policy and advancing right-wing Zionism. In the Rebuilding America’s Defences document they write of the need for a “catastrophic and catalyzing event—like a new Pearl Harbor” to further this goal.

Today, there is plenty of evidence to prove that we have been lied to about 9/11 and the real reasons for the war. Millions of Americans are now calling for a truly independent investigation of 9/11 because of the many discrepencies and inconsistancies in the official story. For more information, see www.911truth.org and www.patriotsquestion911.com

Today the grand myth is that “islamo-fascisism” is the greatest threat to democracy and our “way of life”. This fabrication is being promoted by the corporate media and a few right-wing ideologues. However, Horowitz is concerned that you have not sufficently bought this lie which is why he is on his campus crusade.

Don’t fall for the lies. Don’t buy the grand con of the neocons.

Hollywood and Bioterrorism

Like the CIA-controlled cable news, I can't help but feel that Hollywood is just a conduit for Military Industrial Complex propaganda, and that the latest remake of classic "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers" called "The Invasion" is a celluloid version of a probable scenario that one can imagine that our Strangeloving overloads have dreamt up for us mere mortals.

I don't say this flippantly, but as a warning: When one understands that the terrorists in the DoD are weaponizing some of the worst viruses and plagues in the world and devising ways to best delivery these plagues to humanity, we should be paying close attention to what they -- and the propagandists in Hollywood -- are telling us. After all, these could possibly be test cases as to how they, the overlords, will spin a bio-terrorism event. Just substitute "aliens" for "Islamic terrorists" and you get my point.

But, having said that, I need to backpeddle a bit so as not to vilify the whole industry. There are a few examples of great films that really stand out for their bold, unflinching truth-telling. For example, the "The Matrix" and "V for Vendetta" written by the Wachowski brothers, and the British made "Children of Men" are just three of the best examples that cinema has given us to better understand unpleasant truths (like false-flag terrorism) in our world. I thank all of the producers, directors and writers involved in those films from the bottom of my heart for taking on such a daring projects. You are not the propagandists I speak of.

So, here is my first movie review. Remember: truth is sometime stranger than fiction

"The Invasion" - the non-official synopsis:

The movie begins with a space shuttle breaking up as it reenters the earth's atmosphere (it uses much of the same footage from the 2003 space shuttle Columbia disaster). We understand that the debris field covers a huge swath of the eastern United States with a mysterious organic material that begins to turn people who come into contact with it into emotional retards. (Here we can envision Fox News executives drooling.)

Our Barbie-doll-like protagonist, Carol Bennell, (played by Nicole Kidman) plays a Washington shrink who begins to notice that people are beginning to get less neurotic than usual, and hence, weirder by the day. Things get even stranger still when she hasn't quite figured out that the late-night census worker knocking on her door is one of THEM, even when his mouth does Edmund Munch's "the Scream" as he attempts to vomit the mind-controlling virus at her.

Over time, our hip-defying heroine begins to figure out, along with her doctor friend Ben Driscoll (played by Daniel Craig) and his microbiologist colleague, that the space shuttle brought with it what the Center for Disease Control calls a "mysterious flu," and, not-so-coincidentally, Carol's ex-husband, a CDC official, was one of the first infected. Eventually, everyone in the CDC becomes infected with the virus and becomes THEM, and proceed to craft a vaccine which is promoted as protection from the flu. But, of course, in actuality the vaccine continues to spread the virus, turning more and more people into vacuous zombies. Thank you CDC!

Here the movie also presents the audience with a enticing proposition about the benefits to humanity of such an emotion-lobotomizing virus: consent to getting the virus and having world peace or be forever doomed by endless war and conflict. (There is a scene in which Nicole is sitting with others pondering their fate and in the background the TV news is broadcasting miraculous peace accords breaking out in various war-torn parts of the world, including a "let's-all-be-friends" scene between Hugo Chavez and "el diablo" George W. Bush.)

Okay, so here's were it gets good (or depending your understanding of recent history, bad). Guess who comes to the rescue? That's right, the "good guys" from Fort Detrick (the DoD's home of the deadly anthrax Ames strain that was sent conveniently to Tom Daschle's and Pat Leahy's offices [the congressmen who were probably not going to sign the Patriot Act] and terrorized the East Coast shortly after 9/11.) Yes, the military saviors of humanity from Ft. Detrick have discovered humanities hope in the form of the blond messiah child of Nicole Kidman, who has a genetic permutation that gives him immunity from the mind-controlling virus. The DoD guys go to work isolating the permutation and creating an aerosol-based vaccine that will get sprayed over humanity from military helicopters and turn people back to their old neurotic ways and warlike behavior (how convenient for the DoD).

Alas, near the end of the film, Carol rather blandly reflects on a newspaper on a table in which war and chaos are featured prominently in the headlines. We, the audience, wonder if she is thinking that maybe the virus wouldn't have been such a bad idea after all. But, we quickly banish such a thought from our minds. Really the obvious choice is a no-brainer (no pun intended): emotionally retarded but peaceful zombies running the planet or neurotic, emotionally complex, yet bloodthirsty humans in control. We can't but feel a sigh of relief that humanity has been saved by the good guys from the Military Industrial Complex who will ensure that humanity will continue to experience bloodshed and mayhem -- all the stuff that make us truly human -- for the foreseeable future.

I wrote this piece as both as satire and as a warning. I believe there is a high probability that our next terrorist attack will come in the form of bio-terrorism, and you can bet that it won't be created out of a cave in Afghanistan by a skinny man on a dialysis machine. This hypothesis is based on the theory that a typical false-flag event, like the one we had on 9/11, will not work with a wizened citizenry anymore. Today people in this country are so distrustful of the government that it will make it necessary for the planners of the New World Order to have a fail-safe plan to get Americans [and the world] to give up their freedoms and go along with their agenda. By creating a pandemic where only the military has the vaccine to cure a person it would require that dissenters give up their resistance or face certain death.

If one takes into account all the money going into bio-terrorism research today one cannot but help being scared for humanities future, especially after knowing how the Ft. Detrick's Ames strain was used to kill for such blatant political reasons shortly after 9/11. See (http://dir.salon.com/story/news/feature/2002/01/26/assaad/index_np.html?pn=2). Also, the Machiavellian Neocons who run America have written their twisted thoughts in their documents, in case you are having a hard time believing this. Here's a quote from their internal document "Rebuilding America's Defenses":

"...advanced forms of biological warfare that can target specific genotypes may transform biological warfare from the realm of terror to a politically useful tool." http://newamericancentury.org/RebuildingAmericasDefenses.pdf

You can't get anymore evil than this.

This requires us to spread awareness about this issue and to do whatever we can to stop the illegal and offensive work being done at Fort Detrick and at other bioweapons labs across the U.S. [For evidence that this work is being done for offensive purposes see, http://dissidentnews.wordpress.com/2007/02/11/new-fort-detrick-biodefense-laboratory-may-reflect-a-bush-germ-war-effort).

Please spread the word and demand that these installations be closed down.

Terrorism in America - a win-win proposition for Republicans

The sixth anniversary of 9/11 is only a month away and I hope everybody is making plans to mark this day of infamy in some special way. As for me, I am working with my local 9/11 Truth group in promoting events in our area. I hope you will too.

Speaking of 9/11, today it has come to my attention that another right-wing windbag is wishing for another 9/11-like event to occur. Under the headline, "To save American, we need another 9/11," Stu Bykofsky, opines that Americans will rally around our President and Thief and his phony "War on Terror" if only we had another major terrorist event. He writes:
"America's fabric is pulling apart like a cheap sweater.

What would sew us back together?

Another 9/11 attack.

The Golden Gate Bridge. Mount Rushmore. Chicago's Wrigley Field. The Philadelphia subway system. The U.S. is a target-rich environment for al Qaeda.

Is there any doubt they are planning to hit us again?

If it is to be, then let it be. It will take another attack on the homeland to quell the chattering of chipmunks and to restore America's righteous rage and singular purpose to prevail."

www.philly.com/dailynews/columnists/stu_bykofsky/20070809_Stu_Bykofsky___To_save_America__we_need_another_9_11.html

Can you f@#ing believe this! In a sane society this guy would not have a column in a newspaper, but a straightjacket in a padded cell.

Strangely enough, these lunatic-fringe comments seem quite in vogue these days and are uttered regularly by various political/media/military nutjobs. Here's a dandy one from the chairman of the Arkansas Republican Party, Dennis Milligan:
"At the end of the day, I believe fully the president is doing the right thing, and I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on [Sept. 11, 2001], and the naysayers will come around very quickly to appreciate not only the commitment for President Bush, but the sacrifice that has been made by men and women to protect this country."

rawstory.com/news/2007/Arkansas_GOP_head_We_need_more_0603.html

And, Lt.-Col. Doug Delaney, chair of the war studies program at the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario is quoted in the Toronto Star as saying:

The key to bolstering Western resolve is another terrorist attack like 9/11 or the London transit bombings of two years ago."

"If nothing happens, it will be harder still to say this is necessary," adds Delaney.

www.thestar.com/News/article/233617

Even fetalphobe Rick Santorum thinks that if we have a terrorist event before the elections it will help get Republicans elected.
"Between now and November, a lot of things are going to happen, and I believe that by this time next year, the American public’s going to have a very different view of this war, and it will be because, I think, of some unfortunate events, that like we’re seeing unfold in the UK. But I think the American public’s going to have a very different view."

He later goes on radio to say Americans will instinctively vote in a Republican for president instead of a spineless, snot-nosed, wimpy Democrat (who might hesitate before dropping a nuclear bomb on Tehran [who will most likely be blamed]).

www.wonkette.com

What's so weird about this ghoulish talk is that in their twisted, blood-splattered world-view a terrorist attack is a win-win proposition for Republicans, election year or not. For instance, Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani was recently quoted as saying that if a Democrat gets elected in 2008 America will be at risk for another terrorist attack on the scale of Sept.11, 2001. Yet, ironically, if such and event were to happen today, when we have a Republican in charge, Americans, for some reason, will rally around the Republicans? Does that make any sense? Only if you have been in room 101 for too long and your torturer has finally convinced you that the four fingers he is holding up in the air are really five.

All I can make from all this fear-based rhetoric is that the rogue elements in our government are planning a major terrorist event in America in order to stay in power. And, if we let them get away with it, we will probably see roundups of people like me and you, truthseekers, who are dissenters in this fraudulent "War on Terror."

Because the fearmongers are also ramping up the tempo considerably -- from phony NIE reports that say Al CIAduh is fully reconstituted and ready to attack, to Michael Chertoff's "gut feeling" that something big is going to happen this summer, we need to ramp it up too, quickly.

Please, get out there and do something to educate people today about false flag terrorism today!

"al Qaeda Terrordome" -- the ride that will last a lifetime!

Oh, geeez, here we go again!

Get ready America, hold on to that safety bar and strap yourself in really tight because our intelligence agencies have come up with a new scary ride that they want to take us on -- and, it is a zinger too. Just try not to throw up that hot dog as you go through the loopy logic and convoluted thinking on the new "al-Qaeda Terrordome" -- reconstituted, and coming to a city near you.

Of course I am referring to a series of recent AP articles and National Intelligence Council (NIC) reports that have come out in the last couple of weeks, including today's latest from the Associated Press: "Terror threat against U.S. said serious" (see: news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070717/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/us_terror_threat); Michael Chertoff's 'Gut Feeling' that we are going to be attacked this summer (see: abcnews.go.com/WN/LegalCenter/story?id=3367404&page=1); and the July 11 National Intelligence Estimate release that says that al Qaeda has fully reconstituted itself to pre-9/11 operational strength. Here's a quote from that one:
"...the new NIE’s conclusions about Al Qaeda activities in Pakistan, along with the increasing signs of jihadi militants flowing out of Iraq, suggest that the U.S. counterterrorism community may now be facing the worst of both worlds: a reconstituted al Qaeda leadership coupled with a growing and dispersed worldwide army of angry jihadis inflamed by the U.S. presence in Iraq."

What! You mean to tell me that the strategy of "We are fighting them over there so that we don't have to fight them here," isn't working?

The article continues:
"The officials, who asked not to be identified talking about sensitive matters, said the still-classified document reflects growing jitters among U.S. counterterrorism officials, even while those officials stressed there is “no credible, specific” intelligence on any imminent threat to the homeland."

www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19717961/site/newsweek/

"Growing jitters" and "gut feelings" -- yes, I too am getting butterflies just thinking the implications of this ride. Obviously, these guys have been testing out "al Qaeda Terrordome" a few too many times and have LOST THEIR FRICKEN MINDS -- probably from aneurysms due the incredible "G" forces and whiplash that they have experience coming up with this creation.

These new fabricated reassessments and revisions by our intelligence agencies and their attendant think tanks have gotten me really concerned. These reports go against all the conventional wisdom we have been hearing over the last few years by those sages William Krystal and Frank Gaffney on the merits of the "War on Terror". How could al Queda have constituted themselves to fully operational strength, afterall, haven't we killed over 700,000 terrorists in Iraq by now. Do they just keep breeding like flies?

Recently, I looked up the word "schizophrenia" on websters.com because I am concerned that our "intelligence" agencies and think tanks are losing it. Here's is the American Heritage Dictionary's definition of the word:

schiz·o·phre·ni·a (skĭt'sə-frē'nē-ə, -frěn'ē-ə)
n.
1. Any of a group of psychotic disorders usually characterized by withdrawal from reality, illogical patterns of thinking, delusions, and hallucinations, and accompanied in varying degrees by other emotional, behavioral, or intellectual disturbances. Schizophrenia is associated with dopamine imbalances in the brain and may have an underlying genetic cause.

2. A situation or condition that results from the coexistence of disparate or antagonistic qualities, identities, or activities: the national schizophrenia that results from carrying out an unpopular war.

Oh, my God! That's it! We have discovered the problem. The people that have come out with these reports are clinically insane as they are suffering from all of these symptoms listed above.

As caring citizens it is up to you to write to your representative and tell them to close down these agencies for their own good -- and ours -- as untreated schizophrenia is a serious ailment and could be threatening to all life on this planet. According to mentalhealth.com (http://www.mentalhealth.com/dis/p20-ps01.html), problems in the psychotic phase -- which I am confident we are in now -- include:
• Poor Money Management
• Physical Violence
• Obsessive Thinking or Compulsive Rituals
• Risk of Harming Self
• Poor Grooming and Hygiene
• Need for Institutional Care

Haven't you seen those pictures of Paul Wolfiwitz licking his comb and his holy socks? Proof I say.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
