Reclaiming the Truth and Your Freedom

My apologies for not leaving a note before I left for South America (in case any of you were wondering why my blog has seen no postings in the last four weeks). I had decided to drop out from the blogisphere to escape the constant assaults upon my psyche by the powers that be who, like mosquitos, were drawing too much blood while injecting me with their poisonous lies. I had had enough and decided to flee to higher altitudes where they did not swarm. I would highly recommend it.

I spent the last few weeks in some of the most beautiful parts of the world listening to beautiful music, hiking with friends, and getting lost in the Andes. Towards the end of my trip I had the good fortune to meet a man who invited me to a "moon" ceremony held by some local shamans. I didn't know what the ceremony would entail, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to experience something truly different.

The ceremonial house was located in the mountainous heights that surround Cusco in Peru, the navel of the world according to the Incas, and was nothing so much as a shed with various musical instruments and art hung up on the walls. We sat under blankets for the cold and drank ayahuasca, a hallucinogenic brew from the vine Banisteriopsis. Later we turned off the lights and the shamans started singing to Inti, the sun god, and Pachamama, the earth mother. Their chants made the air vibrate and shook my body and soul. I imagined myself as a mountain and felt truly connected to the world.

Many years ago I read a book called "The Cosmic Serpent," by Jeremy Narby, that describes the use of ayahausca by shamans in Amazon. The book mentions how shamans use the brew to see visions, heal, and divine the future. Narby claimed that shamans on this drug can "talk" with plants by reading their genetic "language". He also spoke of how they saw the unity of all living things, from trees and the plants to human beings.

Now, I know that many of you are wondering why I am bringing up this metaphysical stuff, especially since this is a political blog. What do these ideas have to do with anything related to our present day world and experiences?

I can explain...I think.

Somewhere down the line most of us in the west have been indoctrinated to the idea of separateness, which was probably a creation by those Machiavellians on the pulpit and rostrum who have sought to control man and society by creating convenient delusions and divisions that keep us forever focused on distractions -- us against them, good versus evil, white versus black, Islam versus Christianity, Democrats versus Republicans, etc.

Such concepts of separation were probably born out a false religious doctrine that says that mankind is not of the world but are uniquely created in the image and temperament of a bearded, vengeful God who went about smiting other unfavored actors of his creation and sanctioning man to used the environment as his personal toilet. Yes, it makes absolute sense because, by golly, the pope says it's so, and as God's ordained mouthpiece for humanity we had better go along... or else.

And, we are not off the hook in this thinking just because we are not religious; even if we are part of that 17 percent of the population who does not buy the idea of a personal savior, many of us still fall under the spell of the religion of the state, where the doctrine and dogma can be just as ridiculous and pernicious.

Is it real or is it Al Queda?

One of those things that travelers cannot help but notice is that airplanes, like time machines, not only transport one to different locations but to very different realities as well. Coming from the diametrically-opposed worlds of Cusco to LAX airport was like coming from a beautifully magical Federico Fellini film, to a gritty, sad Quentin Tarantino one: corralled off in one corner of the airport, fresh-faced Marine recruits still in their street clothes were getting the lowdown by Marines in dress blue, telling them that their lives are now to be forfeit for the next world crusade against Islam -- but, conveniently, not the whims of state capitalism. I shook my head at the new recruits mouthing the words "don't go" as a disembodied woman's voice admonished passengers to be vigilant of their bags or get them confiscated by TSA personnel.

In this new reality your shoes are now suspect and need to be to examined in case they're wired to blow. My reality was transformed over night to one of bliss and peace to anxiety and fear.

Welcome to Orwell's Oceania.

So, why would the new Marine recruit feel a need to leave the wonderful world of America, with all its materialistic bonbon delights and relative safety to go off and fight in some American-God-forsaken land, in the blazing summer heat, perhaps killing someone he has never met?

Could it be that our recruit has bought and internalized the idea of separateness and specialness taught to him in school, his church, his home? Has the "We're #1" and "God bless America" mantra emblazoned on American cars from sea to shining sea, effectively lobotomizing the critical thinking area in his brain? Could sound bites from Fox News and vinyl stickers do that?

Yes. I should know as many of my family members have voluntarily submitted to having such an operation, as well as dedicating their lives to the perpetuation of the state with its attendant benefits of a healthy, regular paycheck and a shiny new car every couple of years.

But, even though the crusaders for the state mindlessly go on carrying out their duties, there is always the possibility that a chink in the armor will develop and the wearer will get wounded by the spear of truth. This is not an impossibility as I have seen it happen to some ex-Republicans who were catatonic with despair and then energized by anger when they discovered the awful reality of their state gone amuck. There is the possibility that too much is just too much, even for an arch Republican.

Millions today are beginning to question the official story of 9/11 and for good reason; the evidence indicates that it is an inside job (see 911truth.org and cooperativeresearch.ca). If the official story of 9/11 is a lie than that means everything else is too -- including Al Queda, the "War on Terror", as well as the need for permanent war.

Like in Orwell's book "1984" the rulers of state are asking you to buy a falsehood, one that any truly free and brave people would reject immediately if they were truly such. Will we be condemned to forever be trapped by this need to be special and different, even if the reprecussions of such conceit mean that one could swallow the idea that it is okay destroy people by truck bombs, white phosphorus, and the genocidal use of depleted uranium?

Here's my wish for humanity: please wake up and see how the lies that your leaders tell you are justifying acts that go against all moral and ethical boundaries as well as destroying the bonds that connects us to all life on this planet. The shamans in the mountains who take ayahuasca supposedly can see the relationship of all living things. Why can't we? And, if we don't try, we will be forever capable of more heinous acts against life on this planet -- after all, those deformed and bloodied fetuses created by exposure to U.S. bombs filled with depleted uranium are part of you; that is your genetic code that you are allowing the Stangeloving masters to fuck with. You can deny this by saying that you are not responsible for what crazed leadership is doing in your name, but if you continue to fork over tax dollars to them, you are complicit.

Don't be complicit. Let's stop supporting the system that is creating an unlivable world for humanity through the use of fear and division. Preparing for Martial Law, Part 3: Scenarios

"I want to ask a question. I don't care whether you answer me or not. I just need to ask this aloud... The question that I have to ask is: what if the worst and most horrifying attack in this country's history was not the work of religious extremists?

For me this seems to be the quintessential quote for our times. Leave it for the Walchowski's brothers, who are usually more subtle, to ask such prescient questions.

I thought of starting out this essay with the premise that I should present the government's "War on Terror" as if it were an actual legitimate reality, and then I thought to myself "but why?" -- they've got their Steve Emerson's, Bill Kristol's, Glenn Beck's and Bill O'Reilly's on message, day-in and day-out. And, since, I don't believe that "islamofascists" actually carried out 9/11, or that the "War on Terror" is anything but a marketing tool created by some Hill and Knowlton-like PR firm, then it's not necessary for me to play that game -- I don't have an editor to please or a job to lose.

So, the question begs: What if, and, would you really want to know?

But, before we answer these questions, let's contemplate these excerpts from the Washington Post about the new 9/11-inspired National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC)lab at Fort Detrick, Md:

"The heart of the lab is a cluster of sealed chambers built to contain the world's deadliest bacteria and viruses. There, scientists will spend their days simulating the unthinkable: bioterrorism attacks in the form of lethal anthrax spores rendered as wispy powders that can drift for miles on a summer breeze, or common viruses turned into deadly superbugs that ordinary drugs and vaccines cannot stop.

The work at this new lab, at Fort Detrick, Md., could someday save thousands of lives -- or, some fear, create new risks and place the United States in violation of international treaties. In either case, much of what transpires at the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC) may never be publicly known, because the Bush administration intends to operate the facility largely in secret."

"NBACC's close ties to the U.S. intelligence community have also caused concern among the agency's critics. It explores the risks posed by emerging technologies, such as new DNA synthesizing techniques that allow the creation of genetically altered or man-made viruses. Yes, these are scary times indeed, and, anything the Bush administration does in secrecy should be a major cause for concern for humanity, especially when their not so secret plans, like Project for the New American Century's "Rebuilding America's Defences" are the stuff of nightmares. We can only surmise that what they are doing in secret must be something only Dante could contemplate.

Now, I don't like to raise unwarranted fears, but one would think that with the PNAC document spelling out the plans and desires of certain individuals in our government to develop and use biological warfare would raise a bit of concern by us mere mortals who may not have Wolfowitz's or Cheney's particular genotype.

It's a document of strangeloving madmen, and for the most part, Americans are oblivious to its existence. For the few that have been made aware of it, many go into instant 'doublethink' mode because it is such an unpalatable, inconvenient truth.

Here's another inconvenient truth that our media has done a doublethink with. Remember that weaponized anthrax that showed up on Daschle's and Leahy's desk, which also killed a few mail carriers right after 9/11, it wasn't manufactured in Osama's cave -- it came from Fort Detrick, Md. The FBI has still not solved this crime. Why not? Are they hiding something from the American people?

But, before we get too distracted by identifying potential terrorists (which could be an essay all by itself) we should get back to issue of scenarios for martial law.

In 2005, the Washington Post published a report detailing pentagon war plans within the continental United States called CONPLAN 2002 and CONPLAN 0500, which provide a overview of what a post- and pre-attack situations would look like.

CONPLAN 0500, details the 15 scenarios and the actions associated with them and CONPLAN 2002 is "said to be a sort of umbrella document that draws together previously issued orders for homeland missions and covers air, sea and land operations." (Don't you just love these names, CONPLAN is supposed to be abbreviated for "concept plan", but I believe the more traditional definition of the word 'con' is more apropos -- i.e., "as to swindle; trick: That crook conned me out of all my savings.")

"The U.S. military has devised its first-ever war plans for guarding against and responding to terrorist attacks in the United States, envisioning 15 potential crisis scenarios and anticipating several simultaneous strikes around the country, according to officers who drafted the plans.

The classified plans, developed here at Northern Command headquarters, outline a variety of possible roles for quick-reaction forces estimated at as many as 3,000 ground troops per attack, a number that could easily grow depending on the extent of the damage and the abilities of civilian response teams.

The possible scenarios range from "low end," relatively modest crowd-control missions to "high-end," full-scale disaster management after catastrophic attacks such as the release of a deadly biological agent or the explosion of a radiological device, several officers said."

Okay, so what this is telling us is that the government is seriously working out scenarios and logistics in anticipation of a major disaster on American soil, and we also know that they are working on plans and enforcement for martial law (see previous Part 2 in this series), and now have laws they need to carry it out (see Part 1).

Let's go back to that "what if, and, would you really want to know?" question. Isn't the PNAC's "Rebuilding America's Defences" really just a terrorist manifesto? And, is it just a coincidence that the government has expanded the Fort Detrick lab, and spent billions to open more level 4, and 5 bioweapons labs all around the country to work on similar projects as advocated in the manifesto?

According to Francis Boyle, a professor of international law responsible for drafting the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989, this research isn't going to be used for defensive purposes:

"The enormous amounts of money" purportedly dedicated to "civilian defense" that are now "dramatically and increasingly" being spent," Boyle writes, "betray this administration's effort to be able to embark on offensive campaigns using biowarfare."

What's really strange about this is that the alleged al Queda terrorists have never used anything remotely like this, preferring more conventional methods like airplanes and tennis shoes bombs, so why such a massive, secretive program, unless, like Professor Boyle postulates, it is being developed for offensive purposes.

This is very distasteful stuff and it makes some people very angry when you present it to them. Some want to discredit you and your information, which is why I am very careful about my sources here. Some have called me a fear-monger, and maybe I am insofar that I hope to wake people up to what our government is doing with our tax dollars. After all, I am not making this up. My sources come from the Washington Post, Francis Boyle and PNAC's own documents. I am just putting them into context.

Anyway, I do believe that we need to embrace this way of thinking if we are going to understand the nature of the beast and their version of reality that they have constructed for us. We need to refuse this 'reality' and construct a new, life-affirming one: scientists can refuse to work on these bioweapons projects and instead using their talents to create cures for the myriad of diseases around the world; soldiers can refuse to fight for lies and instead use their health and youth to clean up pollution and build non-destructive, renewable energy projects; and, parents can refuse to indoctrinate their children to service to a state that uses them like slaves and cannon fodder, and instead teach them to question authority and respect the planet and all its creatures.

Until we do this, we will keep getting fooled again by the Machiavellians in our government who will ask us to sacrifice our blood, and those of others, for their imperial gain.

As V says: "If you want to see who is responsible for the terror you feel, for who is responsible for the loss of your freedom, simply look in the mirror...."

Preparing for Martial Law, Part 2: Enforcement and Infrastructure

(Last week this series focused the laws being enacted which would make it much easier for the executive branch and the pentagon to carry out martial law in the United States. This week we will look into the policing apparatus and infrastructure being set up to implement it; and the following week we will look at possible scenarios that the government will use to initiate martial law.)

PLANNING AND MANAGING MARTIAL LAW

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), now part of the Department of Homeland Security, has up until Katrina been viewed by most Americans in a positive light as it was the agency that could get vital services and money to people when they were in desperate need after a major natural disaster.

However, most people are not aware that FEMA's executive orders provide the blueprint for carrying out martial law. FEMA's executive orders, when initiated, gives it the power to suspend laws, move entire populations, arrest and detain citizens and hold them without trial, seize property, food supplies and transportation systems. Not only is it the most powerful entity in the United States but it can suspend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights with the president's pen stroke. (see www.sonic.net/sentinel/gvcon6.html)

One would think that FEMA would be the go-to agency for all national disaster planning, however, after September 11, 2001, the Department of Defense initiated a more direct role in emergency response measures by implementing a plan for domestic U.S. military operations by creating a the U.S. Northern Command (CINC-NORTHCOM) for the continental United States.

Here is Peter Dale Scott on NORTHCOM:

"The NORTHCOM commander, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, is responsible for "homeland defense and also serves as head of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).... He will command U.S. forces that operate within the United States in support of civil authorities. The command will provide civil support not only in response to attacks, but for natural disasters."

(Northcom's commander today is Ralph Eberhart who during 9/11 headed NORAD. In such capacity he either failed miserably or did what was exactly expected of him which is the more likely rationale as he was rewarded with NORTHCOM's command.)

Another aspect of NORTHCOM's mandate is to create a multimillion program for detention facilities that will greatly increase NORTHCOM's ability to respond to any domestic disorders.

And, this brings us to Halliburton "detention facilities."

DETENTION FACILITIES (A.K.A. CONCENTRATION CAMPS)

Last year, Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root, received a $385 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security to provide “temporary detention and processing capabilities.”

The contract -- announced Jan. 24, 2006 -- calls for preparing for “an emergency influx of immigrants, or to support the rapid development of new programs” in the event of other emergencies, such as “a natural disaster.” The press release offered no details about where these facilities were to be built, or when.

Now, the idea that there is going to be massive influx of immigrants suddenly flooding into the United States is highly doubtful; they will most likely trickle in like they have always done for minimum wage jobs. It is much more likely that these camps will be built for these other "new programs", and since the DoD has not given us any specifics as to what these new programs are, we can only make educated guesses. I think Daniel Ellsberg, who brought us the Pentagon Papers which documented the lies that got us into Vietnam, is as good as anyone to make an educated guess. Here is what he says:

"Almost certainly this is preparation for a roundup after the next 9/11 for Mid-Easterners, Muslims and possibly dissenters, They've already done this on a smaller scale, with the 'special registration' detentions of immigrant men from Muslim countries, and with Guantanamo."

FENCES TO KEEP US IN, NOT IMMIGRANTS OUT

Now, think about this for a minute. While the Minutemen are screaming for tougher border controls by the federal government to keep these "illegals" out of the country, the government responds by using their outrage and rationale to hide its real agenda of building fences TO KEEP US IN -- a perfect example of the Hegelian dialectic at work. If you are unfamiliar with this dialectic, it goes something like this: first, create a PROBLEM (Minutemen and citizens call for the government to stop illegal immigration); second, REACT to the problem (congress passes laws to curb immigrants and gives contracts to firms to carry out the mandate); and, third, create a SOLUTION (build fences with surveillance cameras on the border).

Now, if the Minutemen aren't a creation of a government psyop's agency than they are just plain dupes who are being used by them. It is not the Mexicans or Guatemalans that the Minutemen should be worried about, but their own government. It is their government that is going to be responsible for the destruction of 'their way of life'.

You can dispute this theory if you wish, but if you know anything about North American Union, passed quietly in 2005, you will know that keeping immigrants out is the last thing this government is worried about.

The North American Union was passed without debate by the citizenry of the United States, or even congress for that matter. It destroys the sovereignty of this country and replaces it with an E.U. like regional power. Think Orwell's 1984 'Oceania' for a comparison. The North America Union is an open border agreement between Mexico, Canada and the United States, and allows freight from Mexico and Canada to travel unhampered in the U.S. The scariest part about this agreement is that now Mexican and Canadian troops can come over into the United States for policing duties should an emergency be declared. "The 'plan to create' a North American Union in 2010 as a regional government -- comprising a collective government for the United States, Canada, and Mexico -- is "directly stated only" in the May 2005 task force report Building a North American Community published by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), Jerome Corsi wrote June 26, 2006.

Bush is "pursuing a globalist agenda to create a North American Union, effectively erasing our borders with both Mexico and Canada," which, Corsi wrote, is "the hidden agenda behind the Bush administration's true open borders policy."

Remember, Daddy Bush and Jr. are globalists. Bush Sr. spoke glowingly of a New World Order in which he praised a world "in which a credible United Nations can use its peacekeeping roles to fulfull the promises of its founders." Both Bushes hold no allegiance to the United States of America; however, they will use United States resources in both terms of money and bodies to fulfill they goal of world government. So, who will enforce the globalists' dreams of a New World Order?

PRIVATE MERCENARIES AND FOREIGN TROOPS TO DO THE DIRTY WORK

Even though the feds have contingency plans to federalize the National Guard to be deployed in any state in case of an emergency (see the John Warner Defense Authorization Act), there is no guarantee that U.S. troops are going to be good soldiers and just do as they're told (especially after they have been abused for so long by lengthy deployments and the "stop loss" policy in Iraq and Afghanistan). Plus, there is less likelihood that U.S. troops are going to knock down their fellow U.S. citizen's doors and ship them off to concentration camps. For this reason the pentagon has for years been having joint exercises with troops from other countries under the pretext of U.N./NATO exercises. Also, the pentagon has been using private military contractors an an increasingly rapid rate. Today in Iraq there is a 1 to 1 ratio between U.S. troops and contractors.

On a domestic level, the largest mercenary company in the country, Blackwater, has had its executives meet with state governors to be the mercenaries of choice in the case of a natural or unnatural disaster (see www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=07/04/19/1349211). They recently got their permit approved for building an 824-acre training facility in Potrero, California. (Google "Blackwater and Katrina" to see how our government compounds one horrible disaster with another.)

With significant laws like the National Security Presidential Directive 51 and the John Warner Defense Authorization Act now passed (see Part 1 of this series), and with the enforcement and infrastructure apparatus for martial law now in place, the American people are just one disaster away from martial law.

The next article in this series will look at the possible scenarios for the initiation of martial law.
